Family Visits & Projects

Re-enactment Days

We hold regular re-enactment days at the House and whilst you can’t visit us to enjoy them at the moment, we wanted to bring a taste of our open days to you. The activity sheets can be printed out to try at home, or completed on a tablet, and we’d love you to share any photos with us on our social media channels: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Lace making
Lace making was a popular pastime in the 18th century but it was also a vital trade and income for those that were less well off. Our resident lace makers have developed this information sheet to tell you more about the craft Bobbin Lace

Curator's Picks
Our Curator, Christian Dettlaff, has picked two of his favourite objects from the House to share with you. These are his Curator's Picks

Easter Activity
